Central amine supply

ZAV 90 central amine supply system with three gassing units

Where several cold box core shooters are operated under one roof, the installation of a central amine supply system is the obvious choice.  This does away with the frequent change of the amine canisters at each gassing unit, thus improving the operational safety of the machinery. This also helps reduce costs, as amine can be purchased in larger containers.

The central amine supply system is equipped with a pressure reservoir that is pressurised with N2. The pressure reservoir is filled from a drum or tank. The liquid is pumped by an explosion-proof diaphragm pump. As the pressure reservoir is filled, the N2 layer in the tank is compressed. This pressure is then used to supply the amine to the individual points of consumption.
